Solar system removal and reinstallation

Solar Power Systems Removal
and Reinstallation

It is a good practice to inspect and repair or replace roofing while preparing to install a solar energy system. However, roof repairs are still sometimes required during the life of system.

Nature and the environment make it challenging to predict, so we offer cost effective removal and replacement services for access to roofing as required.

It is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1. Remove

We disconnect and detach the modules and racking from your roof. If required for access, we remove all other junction boxes and miscellaneous components. Everything is catalogued and staged on site.

Although rare and depending on the solar system design, there may be an option to only disconnect a portion of the system for access. For example, on larger buildings with multiple roofing surfaces, it may be possible to only deactivate the system on one surface.

During removal, we typically perform a full inspection and provide any recommended solar system repairs. This may include current defective parts or worn or weak parts we see may fail in the near future. It is our goal for your system to operate well after installation.

2. Reinstall

Once roofing repair work is complete and passes any required inspections, our crew returns to fully reinstall everything removed. Any solar recommended solar repairs agreed upon during removal are completed at this time, too.

Where roofing repairs may take more than 1 month, we can coordinate a plan with you in advance or at any time there are unexpected repair delays.

3. Restart

We re-energize your system and monitor it for a brief period to make sure it is operating at expect performance levels. Extended maintenance and monitoring plans are available.
